The Cost of a War

The world was at peace, all in a piece
Until a war started and hearts parted.

The war is never an easy situation
The burden is always on either nation.

The world around, too is suffering
Affected lives, paused and buffering.

It's a show of power and uneven might
While innocent lives breathe in fright.

We really don't know who's right or wrong
We really don't care who's weak or strong.

What matters to us is the earth and around
Hoping peace and joy shall always surround.

Some day this will end, and it has to end
From either side, maybe the ego has to bend.

Before they realise the war has a cost
For many of us a paradise may be lost.
