The Password for Life
We came into the world crying
A fact no one ain’t denying.
It did not have to be the way
And, surely not till present day.
Maybe that was the password
To enter a challenging world.
Everyone said eureka, a baby is born
You had no clue what the future borne.
You were passed from hand to hand
Your chubby cheeks and smiles, everyone’s demand.
Those were the days, the worries were away
You slept all day and woke up to play.
They sent you to school, the plan was set
Hardly you knew, the password was reset.
Now you had to compete and you had to prove
You were expected to excel in each and every move.
Life was a mix of happiness and struggle
You had to be the magician that knew to juggle.
Sometimes you failed sometimes you surpassed
Without a hint, life suddenly got too fast.
The job came, with responsibilities you couldn’t forget.
And, again before you knew, the password was reset.
That’s the way, life is usually meant to be
How you cope up, is for society to see.
You lived under pressure, and added one more
You wanted a companion, were happy to explore.
Life seemed like paradise, and ready for the price
You got married and made the eternal sacrifice.
Now, you had a family and norms were pre-set
Before you realised, the password again was reset.
Now, the family meant the world to you
You lost your freedom and friends were few.
Today, you live with mindful pressure
And, take a break to experience leisure.
You do not complain, envy nor never frown
Through every reset you’ve successfully grown.
Life is such, challenging and changing
Enjoy every moment, easy or demanding.
Let it evolve, let it surprise, let it reset
Every day, discover yourself you’ve never met.
